The Pavillion of Knowledge - Ciência Viva is located in Parque das Nações, in the former grounds of Expo 98, in Lisbon. Its silhouette is easily recognizable, because of the huge outside volume of its main nave. Entrance is through ground floor.

The Pavilion of Knowledge – Ciência Viva is an interactive museum of science and technology. Open to the public since 25 July 1999, it is an integrated part of the network of Ciência Viva Centres, as well as the driving force and resource centre of the network. Its main objective is to stimulate scientific knowledge and to promote scientific and technological culture among all citizens. The exhibitions and activities proposed allow the visitor, through interactive exhibits, to explore many different themes in an active, relaxed and enjoyable way. Apart from the large thematic exhibitions, the Pavilion of Knowledge – Ciência Viva also promotes various scientific and educational initiatives.
