Workshop History

The 8th International Workshop on Sand/Duststorms and Associated Dustfall (DUSTworkshop8) was held in Lisbon, Portugal on 1^st - 4^th May 2016.

The workshop was co-organized by Centro de Ciências e Tecnologias Nucleares (C2TN) from Instituto Superior Técnico and by Centre for Environmental and Marine Studies (CESAM) from University of Aveiro.

DUSTworkshop8’s mail goal was to an opportunity for an interchange of ideas among researchers, policy makers and practitioners in environmental sciences.

The series of Dust Workshops started in 2002 and, in 2016, Portugal had the pleasure to be the host country of this important international workshop for the first time.

The 9^th DUSTworkshop will be held in Spain (Canarias) next 2018.
